Alena Raymond, PhD, is a Civil and Environmental Engineer at Geosyntec Consultants based in California who focuses on life cycle assessment (LCA) and sustainability. Alena supports Geosyntec’s Energy Transition team on LCA projects across multiple sectors, including energy, oil and gas, chemical, and manufacturing industries. She works with clients to develop corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories, identify decarbonization strategies, assess product carbon footprints (PCFs), and prepare environmental product declarations (EPDs). She provides strategic technical support for GHG management, marketing strategy and business development, climate risk management, and technology development through hot-spot and benchmarking analyses. Alena is active with professional groups such as the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Alena has developed and given numerous workshops on LCA and sustainability in engineering for undergraduate- and graduate-level participants.
