Hydrogen Technology Expo North America announces 2027 dates and move to George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston

Hydrogen Technology Expo North America announces 2027 dates and move to George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston
Houston, TX, 17 March 2026, Hydrogen Technology Expo North America, co-located with Carbon Capture Technology Expo North America, will take place on February 10-11, 2027, relocating from the NRG Center to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston to accommodate increasing exhibitor and visitor demand.

Building on the event’s continued growth, the move provides additional exhibition and conference capacity, enabling greater participation from across the hydrogen and CCUS value chain.

Remaining in Houston, one of North America’s most important hubs for hydrogen and carbon management, the 2027 edition will take place at the heart of a region with a strong concentration of refining, petrochemical, ammonia, and power assets.

The Gulf Coast is also a key centre for large-scale CCUS deployment, supported by an expanding CO₂ pipeline and storage network, as well as federal incentives such as 45V and 45Q.

As the hydrogen sector progresses toward project execution, the event will highlight the technologies, equipment, and supply chain partnerships required to deliver projects at scale, with increasing focus on cost and performance.

The George R. Brown Convention Center will accommodate increased demand for exhibition space, with 150 exhibitors already confirmed and over 5,000 attendees expected. The event brings together senior decision-makers from across the hydrogen and CCUS value chain, including project developers, EPC contractors, OEMs, investors, and industrial end users.

Co-located with Carbon Capture Technology Expo North America, the event highlights the growing integration between hydrogen production and carbon management. Together, the exhibitions provide a focused platform for companies advancing commercially viable decarbonisation projects, enabling closer alignment between hydrogen and CCUS project development, technology selection, and infrastructure planning across energy and heavy industry.

“Hydrogen and CCUS are entering a more commercially focused phase, where delivery, partnerships, and scalability are critical,” said Charlie Brandon, Head of Events. “Relocating from the NRG Center to the George R. Brown Convention Center allows us to expand in line with market demand while bringing the industry together in one of its most strategically important hubs.”

Demand for exhibition space is already strong, with further exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities to be released in the coming months.
