Knick Interface – New P45000 SIL 2 Transducer

P45000 SIL 2 Rated Voltage Transducer for Functional Safety

Knick Interface is excited to announce the launch of the P45000, a high voltage transducer engineered for environments where electrical safety and system reliability are non-negotiable. Developed with functional safety in mind, the P45000 is certified for use in SIL 2 applications (capable of achieving SIL 3 in redundant configurations), making it a trusted choice for systems where safety is paramount.

As high voltage systems become more common in industrial environments such as hydrogen and energy storage applications, the need for reliable voltage monitoring and electrical isolation becomes more important than ever. The P45000 combines robust reinforced isolation up to 4800 V DC with precise measurements up to 4500 V in a compact, easy to install design.

Built for Demanding High Voltage Applications

The P45000 is built with reinforced isolation to protect against electric shock, handling high DC voltages up to 4800 V and AC voltages up to 3700 V. Its 4…20 mA analog output is compatible with almost all control systems and PLCs, while its housing allows for easy integration either by DIN rail or bolt mounting

Whether used to monitor voltage levels in safety-critical systems like hydrogen electrolyzers or ensuring personnel safety by verifying charge status in batteries, the P45000 provides accurate, isolated measurements that serve as a foundation for safety and control systems.

Why Functional Safety Matters

In systems where a failure could lead to risk of injury, equipment damage, or environmental harm, functional safety standards help ensure risk is minimized. SIL-rated components like the P45000 provide a verified level of risk reduction, helping engineers comply with safety regulations while delivering confidence in system design. By implementing SIL-certified devices, system designers benefit from documented reliability and increased performance standards.

A Commitment to Safe and Reliable Measurement

With the launch of the P45000, Knick Interface continues to deliver precise solutions for today’s most demanding high voltage applications. This transducer is built to ensure confidence in every measurement, especially when safety cannot be compromised.

Whether you're working with hydrogen electrolyzers, battery energy storage systems, or other safety-critical infrastructure, the P45000 provides trusted, SIL-rated performance to your application.

Contact Knick Interface to learn more about the P45000 and discover how functional safety measurements can elevate your system design.
