Proven eSAF Technologies: Harnessing Green Hydrogen and Carbon Capture for Future Aviation
As the world strives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) will continue to be a rapidly growing market. The aviation industry is challenged by limited supplies of traditional SAF feedstocks such as vegetable oils, animal fats and waste oils, and therefore requires alternative feeds and technology pathways to meet future demand. These alternative feeds come in the form of ethanol, waste biomass, biogas, municipal solid waste (MSW), and CO2 combined with H2. This presentation will provide an overview of what drives SAF demand, as well as established and emerging technologies that are enhancing feedstock accessibility. Then we will focus on eSAF technology pathways with transformative potential to integrate renewable hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide into the aviation fuel supply chain.
