Mike Matson is an expert consultant focusing on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) at Boston Consulting Group. Mike joined BCG in 2022, after leading projects at a US-based CCUS project developer, as well as enhanced oil recovery (EOR) planning and operations with multiple independent oil companies. Mike has worked at Carbon America, Storworks Power, Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, and Kinder Morgan CO2, as well as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Houston, Downtown. Since joining BCG, Mike has advised clients on large cross-sector climate and energy-related transformations. His clients have including many major corporations and energy companies, with whom he works to develop CCUS assets.
